This single origin Nepalese turmeric is like no other you've ever tasted. It is characterised by its earthy & fragrant smell coupled with a mild spice after taste. It is grown organically in the Chitwan National Park – itself a Unesco World Heritage site – home to a large selection of Nepal’s plant and animal life.
Although there is no specific grade name given to turmeric, both essential oil and curcumin content (the stuff with all the health benefits) are considered as good quality indicators. This turmeric has over 6% curcumin content which is comparatively very high and essential oils of 2% which also is well above average levels.
