This sumptuous 200g truckle of our Oak-Smoked Vintage Organic Cheddar is made to the same recipe, using the same cheese as our Vintage Organic Cheddar before being cold-smoked over sustainably-sourced oak chippings.
We make our cheddar to a traditional 90-year-old recipe and then mature it for up to 12 months. After that, we select the very best cheese to make into one of our award-winning truckles. We then smoke it for up to 10 hours. This gives the cheddar a rich depth of flavour with a smooth texture.
Delicious on its own or as part of the perfect cheeseboard, Godminster Oak-Smoked Vintage Organic Cheddar is also a versatile ingredient in many showstopping recipes – we love it on a burger!
It has won many awards, perhaps most notably Gold at the World Cheese Awards 2018 in the Best Smoked Cheese category.
